Overview

  • Formats: doc/docx, xls/xlsx, ppt/pptx read and write both ways with high fidelity;
  • Fonts: bundled CJK and Latin fonts with fallback substitution;
  • Formulas and charts: Excel formulas and charts stay editable;
  • Macros: some VBA needs the macro environment enabled;
  • Encrypted files: password-protected Office documents open fine.

When layout differs

  1. Adjust default fonts and line spacing under Settings → Compatibility;
  2. Embed fonts: File → Options → Save → Embed fonts;
  3. Export to PDF for complex layouts before final delivery.

Collaboration

When working with Office-only colleagues, stick to docx/xlsx/pptx and avoid WPS-specific fonts.
