Flowcharts
- Insert → Shapes: rectangle for steps, diamond for decisions, rounded for start and end;
- Use connectors instead of plain lines so links follow when you move shapes;
- Select several shapes and use Align and Distribute.
Mind maps
- Start from the mind-map template;
- Enter adds a sibling, Tab adds a child;
- Right-click to change layout and colours, then export as image or PDF.

One main thread per diagram, and always label decision branches Yes or No.
